During this time of being home and resting, we’re challenging all of our students to really up their practicing game!
Learning and progressing on an instrument is not easy. It requires a certain amount of work, consistency, and dedication to get better. We’re always impressed with our students’ progress, and know that many of you put in a lot of hard work to constantly improve!
And now we’re challenging our students to be even better! We’d like to see if you can dedicate some time EVERY DAY over the next month of isolation towards your musical practice!
Here’s what we’re asking for our students.
Ages 2-4: Practice at least 5 minutes every day.
Ages 5-7: Practice at least 15 minutes every day.
Ages 8-12: Practice at least 20 minutes every day.
Ages 13-Adults: Practice at least 30+ minutes every day.
The Fine Print
The Challenge will run between the dates of Tuesday, March 17th and April 14th.
For a practice session to qualify in the Challenge, the session must be video or audio recorded with the student stating the date of the day.
Think tablet or phone. You will be pretty amazed how the practice will be more efficient and engaged, since we will be perusing the videos!
After the session you will email the video to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will update the results here on this page. If there is a day you are sick and cannot practice, you can double up on other days to make it up.
Big File Sending Options (Def let us know if you know another way as well and we'll list it here!)
Make a folder in Google Drive to upload the videos into. Then share your Google Drive Folder with us at RidgecrestYouthSymphony@gmail.com.
Make a private YouTube account to upload the video too and share with us.
Show your teacher and let them peruse at your private lesson.
Private post it on FB so only you and your teacher or Ms. Bree can view.
